Jersey Shore Stars Spark Product, Style Crazes

Jersey Shore, the second season of which premieres tonight on MTV, is a phenomenon. Not a good show, necessarily, but a phenomenon just the same.

From a small beach house in New Jersey, the self-professed guidos have inspired spray tans, blowouts and ab-tastic bodies across the U.S. and beyond.

What was a regional style - term used very loosely - has gone global thanks to Jersey Shore, which earned 4.8 million viewers for its first season finale.

It goes beyond fashion, too.

On top of clothing lines, cast members have penned book deals, filmed workout videos, inspired iPhone apps and command big bucks for appearances.

Not since Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana have a TV show and its star been marketed so insatiably. Only this is a GTL-loving band of hedonists.

For whatever reason, there's a whole community that really identifies with the show so much that they see themselves in the larger-than-life stars.

Jersey Shore products ranging from iPod Touch apps letting you "Jersefy" your machine to iTunes' "Spread Snooki" iPhone photo app exemplify this.

For a tan like Snooki, you can purchase a lotion called Sunlove, for which Snooki is a spokesperson. Or you can sample JWoww's Filthy clothing line.

For guys, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's clothing line for Dilligaf by Bohica Bill includes shirts, which he rarely wears, sweatshirts and accessories.

The most entrepreneurial member of the cast, The Situation also has a self-help guidebook for "guidos" in the works, not to mention a workout DVD.

Are their 15 minutes almost up? Don't count on it. The cast just signed big contract extensions for Season 3 and added a new star, Deena Nicole.

In the eyes of teenage girls around the globe, Justin Bieber is a heartthrob who can do nothing wrong.

But in the eyes of a specific sect of mentally unbalanced church goers, this 16-year old is a shaggy-haired example of all that's wrong with the world.

At last night's concert in Kansas City, members of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church protested Justin "to remind all of those in attendance that America's destruction is imminent."

What's their specific beef with Bieber? The group says he "has a platform given to him by God to speak to this world; he has a duty to teach obedience by his actions and words. He refuses to do that because he knows his concert halls would be empty! So, he teaches you to sin and rebel against God's commandments."

Well, sure... but just look at that adorable face!

Earlier this month, the church also protested Lady Gaga concerts in St. Louis and Oklahoma City. They did the same to Adam Lambert last summer, rallying against his homosexuality.

Members have been known to show up at funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan with signs reading "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" and "God Hates Fags." They criticized Bieber for performing last Christmas in Washington where "he got to pose with Anti-Christ Beast Obama," adding:

"He and Obama are of one mind and they are leading this nation to hell! Justin will answer to God!"

That's possible. But when he does, God will likely give the dude props for setting a new YouTube record.

Tiger Woods' preferred mistress quit the VH1 reality show after storming off in a huff, but agreed to come back after producers tracked her down.

The "VIP Hostess" returned after castmates - including Hills douche Jason Wahler, actor Eric Roberts and model Janice Dickinson - urged her to.

You know what they say. Always listen to Jason Wahler.

Why did she bolt? Not because Dr. Drew brought up Tiger Woods, sadly. She's not even allowed, legally, to talk about the golfer in any way at all.

SHE'S BACK: Rachel Uchitel is in Celebrity Rehab. This has nothing to do with Tiger Woods whatsoever. We just threw this picture of him up there for fun.

Her departure followed an intense therapy session while discussing her late father who died of a cocaine overdose in his 40s (Rachel Uchitel was 15).

Despite reports she has a pill problem, specifically with the sleep aid Ambien, sources have said Uchitel is on the show because of "emotional issues."

That's a polite way of saying "an addiction to banging married celebrities."

With this finally understood, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member has walked away from the series that made her (semi) famous.

Sources confirm that Wu Hartwell left the Bravo show after a trio of season three episodes because "they basically wanted to script elements of Lisa's life and make her amp up the drama. She wasn't with that at all."

Apparently, Lisa didn't watch The Hills finale or every episode ever of The Bachelor. It's all scripted, honey.

The third season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres in October. Viewers will welcome attorney Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey to the cast this fall.

Oksana Grigorieva Email Describes Mel Gibson Attack, Bolsters Claims Against Star

The disturbing tapes and Mel Gibson voicemails, in which the star rages against Oksana Grigorieva, prove little other than that he needs serious help.

Is he guilty of domestic abuse? That's the question police are trying to answer, and searching for evidence thereof. Did they just find a critical piece?

Oksana Grigorieva wrote an email to her lawyer detailing the beating Mel Gibson inflicted on her just hours after it happened, Radar Online reports.

The celebrity gossip site, which has become her de facto mouthpiece, says the email's story is consistent with what she told authorities months later.

Gibson has denied ever attacking Grigorieva physically, and has charged that she is extorting him - a claim the police are also investigating seriously.

But by documenting events early January 7, soon after they happened, Oksana has created potentially powerful evidence supporting her abuse claims.

“He hit me in the face with a fist and broke two of my front teeth, as well as choking me with his elbow and squishing my face down," she writes.

Some have speculated that Oksana Grigorieva changed her story as she negotiated a settlement with Gibson, the email seems to suggest otherwise.

“He even hit Lucia,” the eight-month-old's mother wrote.

Officials are investigating Oksana’s claim Mel hit them both as she was holding the baby, bruising her face and leaving a mark on the infant’s chin.

An alleged abuse photo indicates a blow to the head.

“He went completely violent while I was holding our two month old baby crying in my arms,” she wrote to the lawyer. “He yelled so loudly in my face for 15 minutes at least. I was trying to run away outside, begging him to stop.”

She told him he would make their baby sick, but “He yelled even louder and kept spitting in my face. Then he kicked us out yelling and screaming.”

Oksana pleaded for help: “I’m asking for your help. I don’t know what to do right now. The scariest thing is the safety of my children,” she wrote.

“He also threatened to take Lucia away from me, because he can. Because he has money! I’m not sure what to do. He is a father to my Lucy. But I have forgiven so much that he probably thinks I’ll just take it. I’m lost.”

SHOCKER ALERT: Michael Jackson's alleged love child is not his actual daughter. She probably should've made up a fake mom for the purposes of her story.

The woman who supposedly gave birth to Mocienne Petit Jackson says ... she did not give birth to her. That will put the kibosh on a paternity claim quickly!

Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, the sister of Michael's friend Diana Ross, says Mocienne Petit Jackson "is not my daughter," but that she is "delusional" and "bizarre."

Another major hole in this tall tale, in which she is alleged to have conceived a child with Michael Jackson back in 1975? She never even met the pop icon.

Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee: Not Michael Jackson's baby mama.

Dr. Ross-Lee says Mocienne "was really harassing me at my office" for a time and was forced to have her employer contact the police to get her to stop.

She says she responded to one of her emails a few years ago to tell her she was mistaken and to wish her well. Apparently that didn't satisfy the nut job.

Mocienne has requested that a judge allow her to take a DNA test to prove she's his daughter and lay claim to custody of his kids and part of his fortune.

Hope she's not banking on it, because it seems clear this person is not related to Michael in any way, shape or form. Omer Bhatti, on the other hand ...

Elisabetta Canalis at Center of Cocaine, Nightclub Scandal

Up until now, Elisabetta Canalis has been known as the gorgeous woman on the arm of George Clooney for the past year.

But the Italian beauty suddenly finds herself in the news for other, far more sordid reasons: a fellow model (turned prostitute) claims she saw Canalis snort a couple lines of cocaine at a Milan nightclub in 2007.

Referring to a 2007 incident at The Club, an establishment under investigation for allowing drugs and sex, Karima Menad told prosecutors two years ago: "I remember taking cocaine with Elisabetta Canalis and two others."

This admission is part of documents obtained this week by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Canalis started dating Clooney last July, but Menad was referring to a night in December 2007 in her testimony, adding:

"We had been at a party of some famous, rich celebrity whose name I cannot remember. I don't remember who brought the drugs but we all took it."

The Club was shut down on July 26 amidst reports that women were brought in to entertain customers.

"Their job was to encourage these customers to drink alcohol as to increase the table's bill, followed up by sex off premises," said prosecutor Frank Di Maio. "They were often given cocaine for free by those who want to sit at a table of famous people... they want the visibility that comes from being seated at a central table, and to be seen with models, or celebrities from fashion, entertainment and sport."

Canalis is yet to comment on her alleged role in this scandal.

Kroy Biermann: Dating Kim Zolciak for Some Reason

Kroy Biermann is a 24-year old defense end for the Atlanta Falcons with seven sacks over his first two seasons.

Not shabby, but not impressive enough to get the young NFL player noticed across the Internet.

That could at least explain why Biermann has taken the arm of 32-year old Kim Zolciak. According to In Touch Weekly, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member has been dating the professional baller for about two months.

A source says the pair attended the wedding of Zolciak's co-star, Cynthia Bailey, on Saturday, and were spotted “laughing, kissing and have a great time together.”

Guess this means Kroy would answer this pressing question in the affirmative.

Over the past year or so, Zolciak has been linked with some dude known as Big Poppa and some female DJ named Tracy Young. Not exactly tough company for Kroy Biermann to live up to.

Peeps With No Lives Stage Free Lindsay Rally

Protesters railed against the "harsh treatment Lindsay is receiving," noting that Lohan was given twice the time Paris Hilton was for a similar violation.

They've got a point there, technically ... but it's not exactly a grave injustice, and even more ridiculously, Lindsay is getting out like this weekend.

Kanye West Creates Twitter Account

Kanye West finally joined Twitter yesterday.

Upon hearing this, we had two thoughts:

How was Kanye not on Twitter already?
It's only a matter of time until Taylor Swift's account gets hijacked and Kanye's is proclaimed the greatest Twitter account of all time! OF ALL TIME!

Just kidding. Kanye's entry into the Twitter-verse began with this simple, boring declaration: "Up early in the morning taking meetings in Silicone Valley."

But then: "Lol I spelled Silicon wrong ( I guess I was still thinking about the other type of silicone ITS A PROCESS!! : )," Yup, he's definitely arrived.

We expect at least 120 Tweets a day, Kanye.

The big surprise to those of us who follow West is that his Tweets are not in CAPS LOCK, the rapper's preferred method of communication on his blog.

Instead, he seems to prefer no capitalization or punctuation at all. Makes it a bit tough to read, but we'll take it over all caps. Much less threatening.

Kanye West may have joined Twitter later than many stars, but he can take comfort in the fact that his arrival was highly celebrated and anticipated:

He's already cracked 200,000 followers, and "predictedkanyetweets" - in which fans predicted future Kanye-isms - was a Trending Topic yesterday.

No Tweets so far about him shagging Shay, sadly.

As much as it pains us, we must give Kendall Jenner some credit.

The 14-year old half-sister of Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian responded this week to the controversy surrounding her recent photo shoot. Instead of getting on some high horse and telling the world to focus on more important issues (we're looking at you, Miley Cyrus), Kendall came across as mature and understanding of the situation.

"I am excited to be working as a model, doing what I love to do," she told People. "My entire family was very supportive, though my dad was a bit concerned at first, he knows that I am responsible enough that I wouldn’t do anything I wasn’t ready to do, or didn’t want to do.”

Kendall continued:

“Going into this shoot, it was never my intention to be provocative or too racy. It was a beach shoot, and I was wearing beachwear. I am happy with my age, and am not trying to rush into anything too soon. I look forward to all the milestones my teens have to offer - Sweet 16, turning 18, and so on.”

We still believe Jenner should wait a few years before donning so few items of clothing in a nationally-published shoot.

But at least she recognizes the reasons behind the scandal and acknowledges that she's barely even a teenager. Gotta give her - or the publicist behind this statement, really - props for handling the situation in such a straightforward manner.

Report: Simon Monjack Drained Brittany Murphy’s Bank Accounts

The late Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, was shrouded in mystery and suspicion from the moment they wed in 2007 until his own death this year.

Now new allegations are flying about her controversial spouse, whose business manager, Jeffrey Morgenroth, says he liquidated a majority of her accounts.

"There were huge amounts in pension and bank accounts, and all of that's gone," he says. "There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands."

Six months after the 32-year-old star's death in December from pneumonia, anemia and drug intoxication, Monjack had withdrawn 80 percent of her wealth.

His own death from anemia and pneumonia in May ended this sad saga on a tragic note, likely relegating any ulterior motives he had to speculation alone.

Where is the money? What was he doing with it? One person it matters deeply to is Brittany's mom Sharon, 57, who faces financial uncertainty as a result.

Troubled follows Simon Monjack, even in death.

After Monjack died, Jeannette Bycott, an assistant to Morgenroth, says Monjack's mom Linda ordered Sharon Murphy to leave the couple's Hollywood Hills house.

Both Murphys and Monjack lived in the house, and Brittany's mother spoke fondly of Simon, at least in public, in the wake of Brittany's tragic passing.

"Linda basically started acting like everything belongs to her," says Bycott. "Before Sharon could say anything, Linda stated the house was now hers."

Linda Monjack, also grieving the loss of her child, denies any wrongdoing by Simon. "If there is money missing I have no idea where it is," she said.

"He didn't get much, maybe a few hundred dollars, and he paid off debts with it. He spent most of his time crying his eyes out most of the time."

"He was in a terrible state."

Ali Fedotowsky: Content With What She Did!

The Bachelorette season finale is just days away, and viewers are going nuts trying to figure out if Ali Fedotowsky picks Chris Lambton or Roberto Martinez.

Or, if you're the type to believe The Bachelorette spoilers we've teased for weeks, she rejects both, and is single to this day. What does she have to say?

“I was trying to be smart and fall in love with my heart, but use my head too,” she told People in its new cover story of starring on The Bachelorette.

“Sometimes the right thing is the hardest thing to do, and it’s definitely hard to hurt somebody. No matter what happens in the end, I hurt somebody.”

Hmm. There's that, and there's Us Weekly, which is really going out of its way to convince us she's engaged, despite offering absolutely no evidence.

Which is it - and if she is engaged, to whom? Is it true what other sources say, that Roberto proposes? If he does, are they still together now?

DIFFERENT STORIES: Ali's engaged? Some beg to differ.

It's worth noting that mere days before the final rose ceremony, no clips of her standing with either guy, or of the guy(s) walking toward her has been shown.

Was there no final rose ceremony? Was it filmed in secret to prevent the outcome from being leaked? Is ABC just bad at promoting its cash cow reality show?

Whatever the case, it's definitely odd, since Chris Lambton and Roberto Martinez are both so popular. Even fans who prefer one or the other really like both.

Host-pimp Chris Harrison says the finale is "surprising" and "unlike anything in the history of the show." "It's true from the last chance dates," he told E!

"And from those on into 'proposal day,' at the end. Everything is different than what our fans have seen in years past. People will be surprised. Whether it's good or not, Ali's happy with it and she's sticking by it. It'll be interesting."

Hmm. After seeing her recently, Chris adds:

"She looked healthier, she looked happy. She had a smile on her face and a bounce in her step again. The season took a lot out of her. It was a rough road, but she's good. She's very happy and content with what she did."

Earlier this week, Kourtney Kardashian told People magazine that Scott Disick is a great father and "obviously not a monster."

But the latest In Touch Weekly cover story aims to disagree with this statement and shed light on just how shady little Mason Dash's daddy really is - and this goes far beyond a supposed penchant for sangria.

With Kourtney and Scott having moved to The Hamptons, a source says Kourtney (and reality show viewers, naturally) may soon see what kind of a monster this man truly can be.

Asked about Disick's past in the area, especially the New York pals with which he associated, an insider revealed:

“He was worse than anyone knows. Scott and all his close friends were in this fake ‘gang’ called the Scummers. They would do all these really awful things together.

"When he was hooking up with a girl in bed, his friends would be in the closet, videotaping what was going on. Sometimes, his friends would jump out of the closet. He’d try to let them join in.”

In other words: Scott Disick is a second coming of Ray J? Haven't the Kardashians made it clear they welcome this kind of behavior? They do have their entire empire to thank for it, after all.
